Rich, mellow and elegant. Brewed with the kimoto style method using 25% more koji than typical sake, giving it a round flavor and moderate acidity. Takashimizu has one gold medals at the Annual Japan Sake Awards 17 years in a row. Its brewery, Akita Shurui Seizo was founded in 1944 after merging twelve small breweries in Akita prefecture.
