Visiting Taruhei Shuzo is like stepping into a different era. They have carefully preserved its traditional sake brewing process, using exclusively wooden tools whilst brewing. This brewery has over 300 years of history and still utilizes its original buildings, which are now designated as national tangible cultural property. Taruhei Shuzo strongly believes that sake should be only made with rice, and therefore it only produces Junmai sake. Its ultimate aim is to produce the most authentic sake possible.
