Brewery: Takenotsuyu

Takenotsuyu, or “bamboo dew”, received its name due to the beautiful bamboo trees that have surrounded the brewery in Yamagata since 1858. The brewery draws its water directly from underneath Mt. Gassan, which is situated in the center of Yamagata. This water is very soft, has a high hydrogen content, and is extremely clean.
